Hi guys. Today www.wbcboxing.tv will present Edgar Sosa vs Jose Luis Varela. This content is protected
Excellent. Thought I was done with boxing for the night. Hopefully this erases the ill feelings from the Alexander "win".
Round 1 Sosa is the commanding presence with his jab and hard hooks to the body. Varela is stepping around and swatting with hooks from too far out. 10-9 Sosa
Slow first round but the camel-toe action from the COrona Girls before the round more than made up for it.
Round 2 Sosa is bigger, longer, stronger and better technically. This should not last too long. Varela is clumsily pushing out jabs and swatting with hooks as he turns the corner on Sosa, careening off the ropes as Sosa pressures him behind a stiff jab and smooth forward footwork. Varela playing defense, tilting his head back and narrowing his feet to teeter away from the power of Sosa, who begins to rush in with straight combination punching. 20-18 Sosa
Round 3 Varela down! He gets up and begins to wrist-flick with defensive punches as he tries to keep moving in a wide arc around Sosa. Varela is still leaning away from some of the harder right hands but still getting touched with the jab and rocked by the odd hook. Sosa knocks him into the ropes with a long right hand and follows up with a 1-2. Varela continues to get walked down and punched around the ring. Sosa follows him with his jab as Varela picks up his backward velocity. Several hooks to the body complement a pair of uppercuts as Sosa tries to outsmart Varela with his wall-of-moving-hands defense., Varela again goes down. Sosa pummels him hard against the ropes with a long and furious sequence right up until the bell. This should probably be over in the 4th.
Round 4 Sosa runs Varela into the corner and picks him apart with hooks and rights. Varela retreats diagonally across the ring and Sosa is right on top of him, punching up a storm as Varela tries to duck and cover and throw blind desperation shots to the body. Sosa knocks Varela into the ropes with a 1-2 and then follows him to the other side of the ring. Varela again gets backed to a corner and is subjected to about 20 unanswered punches. Less than a dozen land but it's enough to cause referee intervention. Sosa TKO4
