I'd say the modern day version of Golota would be Czar Glaskov.

Let's see if he handles Glaksov better than Brant handled Golota.
We'll see if his power moves up with the class, and if his chin can take the 1-2 of the Czar.

If he beats Czar, we'll know he's ready for the likes of Monsour and if he can handle the first 3 rds vs Monsour, we'll know he's ready for the likes of Thompson who would undoubtedly be keen to the task.:good

 

I'm not sold on Joshua, but he doesn't - and nobody, within reason - needs an elite chin to be an elite. It just helps. It's too early to look forward to the time when his chin is smashed. Too few fights, too young. This is in contrast to Wilder, who has skinned his way through 30+ fights and by virtue of that is an extremely attractive target for a jaw smashing. He's well past his chin-test date.

We can all take solace in the fact that when Wilder does face his first chin-test, that sweet, schwarze porcelain will be spread all over the ring, like the debris of an IED in a chinese tourist store. Make no mistake, that chin is getting shattered. There's no coming back from knockdowns and bambi legs against the likes of Nichols, Sconiers, Firtha and that garbage Russian cruiserweight in the Ams.

 

Hes got decent legs so should be ok.

 

Joshua was stopped by a fat little Romanian in 2011. And dropped by White in 2009.

He was also given 2 gift hometown decisions in the Olympics.


Since then he's fought 13 hand-picked bums.


But yeah - he's the real deal. The Emperor's Clothes look simply fabulous!
