Let's just say Klitschko s mother agreed to let them fight and they got a hundred million each... Who wins? (Mods maybe put this in a poll question form. I'm a lil bit limited in that area so to speak). But it would be interesting to cast a vote! Wladimir or Vitali?
I think I like wlad too. This fight may have nuances of mccline- wlad as in each guy is terrified in each other's shots. Wlad throws that killer right conservatively, Vitali has better defense. But if wlad could summon the fight of a out a shape Shannon Briggs he may be successful in his boxing. Vitali wouldn't be able to put his lights out, he doesn't press the action like your average Tyson. He also has pretty good head movement. During prime for prime he would win by decision. But like I said I like wlad on points he is more of the aggressor.
I've always liked Vitali over Wlad, too much junkyard dog in him. With the caveat of course that if there's one guy around that could crack that chin, it's Wlad.
Vitali is more aggressive/confident, comes out and puts it on Wlad, who starts taking a beating and doesn't let his hands go, but as Vitali loosens up and stands in range throwing combos with his chin up, supreme confidence in his famed punch resistance, Wlad finally lashes out like a little brother getting bullied in the backyard and lands a massive counter left hook bomb to the temple. Vitali's chin doesn't save him this time, he's never felt power like that and a temple is a temple. He crashes to the canvas, tries to claw his way up the ropes in a drunken stupor, but the ref waves it off. The crowd is stunned. Wlad donates half the prize money to Ukrainian LGBT activism and the other half to Cambodian orphanages. The Ukrainian orphanages ask why they didn't get any. Wlad tells them to start thinking globally, to look outward not inward, it's 2020.
Wlad aged better and IMO had way more tools in his arsenal. Like everyone always said, Vitali was the more natural fighter, Wlad had to be molded into one. Wlads weaknesses forced his boxing to evolve, thus he became the better boxer of the two. Wlad definitely had the edge in skills, but styles do make fights(we just saw Beterbiev break down the more skilled Gvozdyk) and it would take quite a bit of analyzing to see who has the edge here.
There’s always one guy to bring up Fury in a thread that has nothing to do with him. Anyway with that been said, both guys in their prime would beat Fury.
