Also whats the problem with Floyd being a fan of Pac....after all who doesn't like a good beat down? Pac seems to hand out a lot of them. **** I like lots of people that I **** talk and try to **** with...thats what happens when you get in my way. Boxing is war. This is how warriors roll. Simple as.

I just find it hilarious. That someone who is blatantly trying to ruin someones character is caught on video cheering for that same man just 3 years back. Plain and simple.

I always find Floyd fans rank Floyd at #1 and Pac at #2 but Pac fans often dont give Floyd #2. No fair :(

Extremists.. both actual pac and floyd fans acknowledge the prowess of the other fighter and place them at #2 respectively.

This just proves my point about the difference between pac fans and *******s.

Only *******s would do something as stupid as that and there are many of them on this forum.

    You all know their names.

Doesn't really work that way, most p4p guys get there by beating quality fighters, but usually these guys they defeat are not rated #1 p4p. In fact a lot of recent history just has guys taking over the #1 spot more or less by default.

Going by The Ring's p4p history since the late 80s/early 90s, Julio Cesar Chavez was ranked #1 p4p when Mike Tyson lost, and then Chavez beat Meldrick Taylor. Taylor was ranked in the middle of the top 10 p4p. Now Pernell Whitaker did take the #1 spot by beating (in the eyes of most) Chavez, who was #1. That's a rarity where the #1 p4p fighter loses his spot to a guy who takes over #1.

Roy Jones then was the next p4p #1, he had been #2 after beating James Toney. He became #1 in 1996 when Whitaker was dropped after subpar performances against Wilfredo Rivera, Jones's opposition in 1995-96 was far from special. Jones went back and forth with Oscar De La Hoya as #1 p4p, and then Shane Mosley took over the #1 spot. He lost to Vernon Forrest and then Bernard Hopkins became ranked #1 p4p. Then Roy Jones takes over #1 by moving to heavyweight and beating John Ruiz, but Hopkins once again takes over #1 when Jones loses to Antonio Tarver, despite Hopkins not exactly facing the sternest opposition around this time. Hopkins loses to Jermain Taylor so Floyd Mayweather becomes #1 p4p, even though his opposition from 2003-05 wasn't exactly stellar.

P4P is taken too seriously IMO. To an extent I blame the alphabet organizations since there's so many titles out there, that titles mean less nowadays. Now this mythical title has become too important.

Excellent point, there are so many titles that people are taking the rankings as sort of an "unofficial championship". Especially since the top guys in the list are in or near the same weight classes.

There are too many paper champs now, regardless of skill level and athletic ability. The P4P rankings became the unofficial charter of the men to beat.

Actually Doug Fischer talked about other fighters with ridiculous fan bases, I found that funny too.

Although an online petition to get AT&T to drop Mayweather as a sponsor is something new. I read some of the comments there, they are hilarious. People saying they are going to switch from AT&T to another phone company because AT&T sponsors Mayweather. Another comment said "no other country on earth has as great a man as Manny Pacquiao".

Pretty sad, and some funny ****.
Manny is a national hero tho and I can see how Mayweather undeservedly being given the #1 from Pac without earning it could be seen as favoritism and taken so personally by his fanatical fans.
