:patsch The guy goes by Soto-Carass. Did you just start watching boxing??? Many hispanic guys use both last names. Father and Mother

I basically agree, except that I'm not as confident in the current Lacy, and think he's in dangerous territory with even a crude puncher. I still favor him, but see plenty of room for the upset.

What do you think of Flores-Diaz? Flores is the (slight) betting favorite; I find that sort of strange.

This is a great week for fights, I will give my opinions on some of them but first I have to post in the Dog ****er thread. Be back in a sec.

Then I'll go right ahead and admit that I know Roy's part of "Get Started" word for word and parts of "I Pray".. :-( :-( :-( I put some of his songs on my ipod for when I go running or before I play sports. As silly as "Ya'll Must've Forgot" is, it replays Roy's highlights in my head and reminds me of Roy's greatness, motivating me to work harder.

I agree that there is a realistic chance of an upset here, I even put down 125 to win 1000 on the vbookie thread. It's not out of the question that Lacy shows up in bad physical/mental shape again and this time against a motivated hard puncher, anything could happen.

I really don't know enough about Diaz to make a solid pick or give any kind of accurate analysis right now. I'll try to watch some of their fights and figure out if I should make any bets on it.

I am very interested in the Lacy-Mendoza fight tomorrow. Mendoza didn't show much when he was KO'd by Dawson nearly a year ago and his record is full of fighters with losing record. If Lacy has something left in him he should get rid of this guy pretty easily. If Lacy struggles then it may be time for him to find another career.
I'm picking Margarito in a what I'm hoping will be a FOTY candidate.I think Margarito's chin will hold up long enough for him to hurt Cotto with something and force a stoppage. I think he will be down on the scorecards when it happens. I don't expect Antonio to be able to overwhelm Cotto with his high workrate like he did to Cintron. I think the pace will be slower than many expect. Could start off wild but I think it will settle once each has felt the other's power. Very difficult fight to predict but the longer the fight goes on I think it favours Margarito.

If he doesn't win and look good its confirmed that Joe Calzaghe truly ended his career.
