@ 118 lb there is NOBODY who can beat Inoue right now.

Still i would like to see Rodriguez or Burnett fighting Inoue.

Burnett would be a joke. Inoue would eat him alive in the first round.

    Biggest threats in the division:

Tete, Butler, Rodríguez, Burnett, Yap (in that exact order, perhaps?)

...and that is really it, and I strongly favor Naoya over the lot of them.

The poll didn't have my exact choices, so to clarify:

He is probably the best fighter in the division and I'd be happy to rank him #1. However, to become "the man" - i.e. more or less the consensus #1, he probably has to beat another champion.

Inoue was already somewhere around #10 p4p, his stunning win puts him about 5-7 in my books.

    118 is wea
None of those guys are good. Inoue beats them all easily imo. 122 is weak too. He could've cemented his legacy at superfly. The Thai and Estrada are wins that put you in the history books. I haven't seen much of Rodriguez though or Burnett so possibly they could make interesting.

They can jump on up to bantam and get that work if they want.

Besides, other than each other, any comparable paydays at super fly have dried up for them.

How do you think the Thai vs Inoue would play out if the Thai brought his power and stamina up to bantam.

Well that's just it, probably both of those qualities would dip slightly coming up in weight. I think Inoue would just have waaaaaaaay too much speed for Wangek. (that's his name, btw :sisi1 - not "the Thai", nor "Srisaket Sor Rungvisai". His name is Wisaksil Wangek )

    Haha.

Well, for A) I'm willing to put him at "#1 at bantam" immediately (poll title) but not "the man" (poll options) without beating another champ.

    For B) I was tossing up between top 5 p4p and 6-10 p4p.

Ah, semantics then, so you don't consider being #1 and being the man synonymous? I suppose you're right, they aren't necessarily.

Not much has changed since. Maybe around 7th at P4P now I guess.
Did people notice he just broke the old 3 weightclass record too, within 2 weeks of Loma?
