    80% of us haven't seen them fight? I'm pretty sure my ****ing grandma has seen Suar Ray and Tommy Hearns fight.

    Maybe he meant "haven't seen them fight live"...? That was a crazy high percentage to start off his post.

    hasn't Mayweather beaten every fighter he's faced at 135 and 130, 140, 147, 154? I don't see how Duran's accomplishments are any better than Floyd....

    You don't see how :lol: Duran didn't cherry pick guys or look to fight guys that were easy
    Ike Floyd did !


    He also dared to prove his greatness by challenging the actual best ! Not self proclaimed young champions in other words trying con the public into thinking they were credible opponents!

    That would make more sense, but even then, a lot of us weren't even born yet when those guys were active. But it's crazy how recognizable Sugar Ray is, I know a lot of people who know pretty much nothing about boxing and don't care about the sport who have seen Sugar Ray matches.
    Also, Hearns would absolutely dismantle Floyd. Floyd is a great boxer and supremely skilled, but come on man, it's Tommy.

    Or its seen as a challenge because he's not as good as Floyd, name one fighter 154 on down who'd be favored to beat Floyd? It's easy to name fighters favored to beat Duran because he's not as good, not as talented, not as skilled

    The first Leonard vs Duran fight was epic. Both gave a hell of a show and give both a good chance of beating Floyd at 147. Duran went all out for 15 rounds!
