Like the title says, does he have a chance, can he still make it? Or is he pretty much done?

I suppose this is what I get for making a thread that wasnt about Mayweather/Mosley or Pacquiao.

His style doesn't fit to the pro game and he seems to have little power. Maybe a change of trainer can do something good for him.
Although at his age its seems to be too late.

I actually had a lot of hope for this guy. He has really good defense and speed. The power is what was lacking. I can't believe he fell off the cuban prospect radar like that.

Same here, he only lost his 1st match because he was -1 pt for holding and I didn't see the 2nd.

I really hope he can get back in the game an not end up like Jorge Luis Gonzalez.

I remember watching his espn debut, Im glad to see an article about him, he seems forgotten already. I dont think he will make it as an elite, not enough power and has lost to less than stellar fighters already, but maybe with a different trainer he can make it

    Nope

Cuba has a bunch of other great prospects, cant expect them all to be a success.

He doesn't have the power to keep anyone off of him. I've only seen him twice, but he didn't look slick enough to not have any power.

He has fought some tough prospects like Jorge Diaz. His defense is shady.

He should go back to Europe and fight there.

He is still a talented guy and a VERY good counter puncher.

I think he should easily be able to win a few Euro titles which might set up a big(ger) payday.

I spoke with Yan in Hamburg and he is such a friendly guy. I wish him the best.

Maybe you should tell him your idea, see what he thinks.
