Two men with very deft left hands and so-so rights. Would be quite the fencing duel. Virgil the more polished boxer, Yaqui the more rugged customer.

I’d like to see it, but banking on a chess match here. My heart says Lopez but my head says VH by decision.

Virgil Hill. I honestly don’t know why Lopez is in the HOF

Hill. And a pretty good likelyhood he gets the tko stoppage on cuts. Especially if the bout takes place in thatt mecca of boxing----Bismarck

As I said in the other thread Conteh outboxed Lopez with just his left jab alone after he broke his right hand, I don't see why Hill can't replicate that performance and win and decision with his own very good left jab.

Hill wins on the outside. That jab just dominates.

TBF, that was Lopez's first fight of that magnitude & he seemed to be a bit awed by the moment. IDK that Conteh would've been able to outbluff a more experienced Lopez as he did in the early rounds of their fight.

Hill had trouble with fighters that were willing to go jab-for-jab w/ him, like Hearns & Dariusz. If Lopez is assertive w/ his jab like he was in the Galindez & Saad rematches, I think this is at least a pick 'em fight.

Lopez's and Hill's reaches are about the same. And Lopez is a couple of inches taller.
