Just finished watching Saad vs Lopez II title fight (went 14 rds)

I think Lopez would beat any lightheavy around today (assume that
    Roy Jones is now old).

Lopez had JoeCal's work rate, plus he could hit,,,,only Saad's incredible jaw kept him from getting knocked out.

(It was great to hear Tim Ryan, Gil Clancy & Eddie Mustafa calling the fight and talking about the upcoming Mustaf vs Bull Martin, Pryor-Cervantes, Hearns-Cuevas, and Weaver-Coetzee title bouts).

Yaqui Lopez was an excellent fighter who was unlucky in that he never won a world title.

Glad to see Yaqui`s name getting a mention, he was a very good fighter who had the misfortune of coming along in an era that had several great fighters in it. He was screwed by the judges in the second Galindez fight though and should have walked away as the new champion that day. If he were fighting today he`d be even money against any of the top guys at 175 right now, and as longhorn said would likely beat most of them too. Yaqui squaring off against Marvin Johnson would be one of my ultimate fantasy matchups, a shame these two never met as they would have made for one heck of a fight.
