Maybe he's got a deep and abiding hatred of Bulgarian street sweepers, Armenian taxi drivers and Polish bouncers and if they're not on the menu he's not coming in?
It's a theory for sure Like I know Warren had a history of not always doing best by some of his fighters. But on the surface it would appear he's done an awful lot for Yarde. Forget any belts or PPV etc. Yarde could easily fight twice a year in Saudi and earn an absolute fortune
It's comical that he stayed by Warren the whole time when Frank was in the long weeds, now Frank holds all the cards he wants to leave
Maybe he feels the contract with Queensberry is less than optimal and seeks to get a better deal for the final stages of his career? In which case he has to hope his brief understands contract law.
Yarde was basically the headline act alongside Dubois in the early Warren/BT days - maybe he thinks he'll get more face time on Boxxer now? Lord knows what the difference in pay day is, Yarde doesn't come across as a PPV seller for Sky.
Frank was saying in an interview today, Yarde was offered both Bivol last Christmas and Callum Smith at Wembley, presumably this coming summer? Both very good fights for Saudi money. Tunde must be an absolute helmet to turn those down if true.
He probably thinks he’ll get more money to fight Joshua Buatsi on Sky Sports Box Office PPV. Maybe Warren is taking a large percentage off Yarde and he thinks by fighting Buatsi as a free agent he’ll take a higher purse? Not really. Yarde can fight on Riyadh Season cards if he’s a free agent or signed to any other promoter (apart from Boxxer). Warren doesn’t hold any cards that aren’t available to Yarde elsewhere. He probably just wants to fight Buatsi without being signed to a promoter to maximise his earnings.
Particulary when he performed better than expected in both of his World Title Fights. Bivol would give him a boxing lesson but he would be a better fighter for the experience and he surely must fancy he has a decent chance against Callum Smith. The loot would be very good as well so very strange decision making. Tunde must be thinking a trilogy fight with Arthur is going to headline Riyadh 2025.
He absolutely will get more fighting Buatsi on Sky PPV if the figures I heard on offer are believable. I don't get the logic of throwing that kind of money at him , let alone all the legal stuff about to kick off.
That’s why I don’t get why people are saying it’s a bad decision to leave Queensberry. He can fight Buatsi and then fight in Riyadh Season cards afterwards. I wouldn’t be surprised if Turki would like to make Yarde vs David Benavidez. Seems like this will be a long legal situation though which isn’t good for anyone. Maybe Yarde is looking at Boxxer and thinking that he can fight Buatsi on PPV and then move up to cruiserweight and fight the winner of Riakporhe vs Billam-Smith at a stadium?
