If the WBO make him mandatory and it's right on him to take the fight then they will do the old.. "We want to clear up domestically and prove we are the best in Britain". There is no way on earth they are sticking Yarde in with Kovalev anytime soon, it would be a complete mismatch.
Yarde will be wrapped in cotton wool and they will avoid Kovalev, its pretty clear that fwank has a lot of apples in that basket and isnt prepared to let them go.
I hope he does, so we can get rid of him quickly. Anyone who hangs out in Canning Town gyms knows this guy is a jackass who has a wake-up call coming his way.
What happens in reality is that Yarde and Warren avoid that fight with every fibre of their beings, if they have any common sense whatsoever. However if this fight does happen at any time in the next two or three years, I'm going for Kovalev to win by KO2: Yarde is just too flat-footed and wide open -- especially to the right cross up top -- and will be ruthlessly exposed as soon as he steps up to World level. Easy work for Krusher.
Seriously, how do these rankings even work? I've seen multiple #1 contenders lately that either never fought a single top50 opponent, or hadn't for years. How can you become a mandatory that way, or is it really as simple as just mailing a cheque? Kovalev inside 4 rounds if it would actually happen.
Here's Yarde's post fight interview with his street rat posse and only way is essex posers, behaving and talking as if he just finished unifying the the light heavyweight division. After listening to all of the tripe coming out of him and his deluded trainer's mouth, I now hope he is forced to fight Kovalev within the next year or so or they make him drop all of his plastic pound land belts that he enjoys holding up as if they're legit legendary world titles. The golden nugget is when his dumb trainer says ''Tonight Anthony has done something world champions haven't done'' This content is protected
