Yarde needs to call out the winner of Groves-Smith

Kovalev went even with Ward in the first fight, one of the best fighters of the generation. Where as Yarde hasn't even fought a British level opponent yet. Even Yarde himself didn't fancy the fight which is why they turned it down, so very strange that you think this.

I'd pick Callum Johnson to stop Yarde in 2 rounds, Buatsi a little longer.

In regards to Dubois - Gorman, if you ask me who would win tomorrow in a fight I’d say Gorman all the way, if you ask me who will go further in their career I’d probably opt for Dubois.

Definately not bait. Kovalev is horribly overrated. Especially now that Ward took his soul combined with poor training habits. What's more laughable is people having him as p4p top 3 before the Ward fights. What does he have in his locker? A good jab granted, but I don't see much else. Overrated by hardcore hipsters and was known to have been knocked about the gym by middleweight GGG.

@Twentyman From what I see of Yarde, I see a tremendous talent. Such a natural puncher, and extremely fast for his size. Although as I've mentioned before, his team don't seem to be as confident in him that I am, so I could be way off on my expectations of him. My point on Kovalev still stands....overrated.

 

That technicality may not stop fresh-faced Frank from trying to make that fight for Yarde at some point in time regardless.

I hope you turn out to be right about Yarde but at the moment he’s fighting opposition who are incapable of hurting him. He’s being allowed to go about his business at a pedestrian pace without worrying what’s coming back. So he’s going to look good.

That’s his last 8 opponents. Not only are they mediocre, they couldn't knock the head off a pint of Guinness. It’s alright saying he’s a natural puncher and fast for his size but what happens when he fights someone who can hurt him back, who’s not a pudding? Can he show ring generalship and box his way through adversity when an opponent can deal with his power?

Like I said, I hope you’re right. He needs to step up a notch or two now though.

 

It’s also worth noting that Nemesepati with a relatively high KO% compared to the rest of the list is a career super middle. Sjeklocka also a career suppermiddle.

Albert actually a middleweight.

He’s fighting smaller men and non punchers. You can’t help but wonder what they’re hiding him from.
