What showed was lack of experience, proper opposition, conditioning and sparring. As predicted beforehand. There was a path to victory here against this version of Kova, but he needs to forget this Tunde system and go to work properly. The other 3 beltholders are even tougher right now.
Apart from a few brief moments he was completely outboxed and brutally stopped late by a washed up Kovalev. He wouldn't have lasted 5 rounds against a better version. He's not even the best domestically. Buatsi and Johnson would both stop him.
He has all the things to go to the very top the things his missing is only condition and experience which can be acquired but the other attributes he has such as power/chin/heart cant be acquired
I'm not sure how much good withstanding the brutal beating he was taking in the last two rounds would be doing to the rest of his career. His trainer needs to take a long hard look at the mistakes the corner made. At a stretch I think he should have been pulled out after the 10th. He was a hypejob make no mistake. His trainer, team and promoter were all proclaiming his greatness and that he would go down as next to Mayweather, Tyson and RJJ. He is nothing like any of them apart from a good athlete. His defence isn't the worst and he showed a good chin but he was also getting hit way too often by the jab. He proved he is better than most observers were giving him credit for going into the fight.
Definitely is not a hype job but he needs a proper trainer.. Honestly Buddy Mcgirt would be a great fit for him.. The guy needs to spar which you can tell after the big 8th rd that he doesn’t..
hahahahahaha, let me see. The guy gets into the ring, he does nothing, he gets stopped and the conclussion is that he's no hype job? Sure man. Whatever. Put your money on yarde then, if you have what it takes.
Went to hostile territory and never complained once. Displayed huge heart , courage and gave everything he had before going out of his shield. Racking up a lot of mileage in the process. The man deserves the upmost respect
That would be a good move I remember booth having another chap very stylistically similar to yarde who didn't do do badly.
Lol everyone in here was saying that kova was gonna end yarde in 5 rounds Dude showed chin Heart And power Hes a solider contender with good power It turns out those that said yarde was getting stopped in 5 or less underestimated yarde And before you pull that crap that I'm a yarde fanboy I chose kova to win
It's so weird how few people have the grace to admit they got Yarde a bit wrong. Makes me think the average age of posters here is in the teens or low 20s at most.
Man, there are two reasons why kovalev didnt end up in 5 rounds. The first one is that yarde did literarlly NOTHING the first 4 rounds, that's how much yarde was scared from kovalev. He did NO-THING, completely nothing, he just didnt even throw, he just was 110% focused in not being targeted. The second one is that kovalev is a shadow of who he was, he's completely shot. As you can see, none of those two reasons is "yarde is not a hype job". Basically because he is. As I said, put your money on him if he fights another champion again if you have the guts.
Lol they always do that they make a prediction and stick with it then when it dosent come true instead of them admitting they were wrong they come up with excuses Lol you dumbass I knew kova was gonna win I also knew yarde had the power to stop kova I also knew kova could not end him early Lol
