Yarde took one of the worst beatings I've seen in a long time

Imagine this guy trying to convince Adam booth, Freddie roach etc that not having good quality sparring is a good thing...

I never said that it’s a good thing, I merely pointed out a tangible benefit. Of course I think Yarde should spar higher quality boxers.

Yarde said he was sparring with 3 or 4 sparring partners in and out.

So if he is sparring, but not against any known professionals, then I would wonder who is he sparring then? Are these unknown, secretive sparring partners even useful? Are they even boxers? How do we know Tunde hasn't just got a few pals in from his motivational speaking and pad-work club?

Just my two cents worth... was outmatches and outclassed. However gave a good account of himself. I would not have predicted he would of lasted until round 11 and almost clinched it at one point. Kovalev is definitely shot and is ready to take a loss to the highest bidder in my opinion.

However I have always been a fan of the right timing and matchmaking to build a fighter. In my opinion Warren and Tunde should be ashamed of themselves for putting him in that position. Warren is known for dodgy rankings with the WBO and I think he thought he would keep Yarde around 3rd or 4th until there was a vacant belt to pounce on. But in this case it backfired as light heavy is weak of contenders.

That being said many casual and so called die yards are always desperate for fighters to go in with killers after 10 fights and not being ready. So you can’t really win.

In my opinion Yarde should have fought 12 journeyman, 3-5 British/ euro level fights, two faded contenders and the look to compete after 20 plus fights. However he fought 17 journeyman and then got his head punched in for 11 straight rounds. His chin got him out of danger as he hasn’t been hit before but last night took a few years off his career. He needs a proper boxing trainer and camp from here out with a couch that will teach him the correct skills. Not a padman trying to make a name for himself.
