At some point they have to atleast maybe step up to aging fighters on their last legs. Even Sakio Bika would be a more interesting fight. They clearly don’t understand that the hype won’t build until you atleast fight someone with a pulse. Must be hoping for a world championship loss and cash out. Even Calum Johnson has achieved more in 2 fights compared to Yardes 16
Problem Yarde has there are other British fighters in the division moving quicker than he is. Buatsi will take on Burton. Johnson will continue to fight at world level. You can't compete with that when you are taking on Argentinian farmers.
It's the fact he's topping bills that is the most annoying thing for for me. If he wants to fight bums and 'build' then let him do it way down the undercard until he grows a set
I’ve said this before but I can’t help but think someday soon we will be watching interviews of Yarde talking about being fleeced by Tunde similar to Chamberlain and his uncle. Probably after Yarde looses for the first time.
Spot on. Yarde will lose a fight and he’ll split with Tunde and claim Tunde was stunting his development, that Tunde was the one ducking all the big fights and picking Hungarian cans.
Anthony "Back" Yarde Because given the dross level of his opponents that's where he should be fighting.
Tunde is extremley annoying in these interviews. As for Yarde, it’s down to Frank and Tunde to plot his course - It’s not fair to criticise him about his opponents. In regards to the opponents, obviously this guy their fighting on Saturday is clearly not going to be able to cope. At the same time, they’ve struggled to get good opponents. Even Hearn admitted that he finds its difficult to get Buatsi opponents at the weight and acknowledged that Frank has the same issue with Yarde. They went back for Buglioni again but he turned them down to fight an unknown on the Monaco card, as did Sean Mognahan which would have been an excellent fight. Next fight have to be an improvement though - no excuses.
any hype that they managed to develop with Yarde will be completely gone soon. how do they not realise fighting these random opponents is not helping him learn at all, so the "he only had 12 amateur fights, he needs to learn on the job" is complete bollocks. i agree with others in the thread who think he's packing glass
Topping bills at the Brentwood centre and not even selling it out tells you all you need to know about him. The public aren’t buying it.
