I’m pretty certain, Frank and Bobs provisional plan will be to steer Yarde & Smith Jnr towards a vacant WBO title fight. They can do this with help from their pal Paco, who will probably try to strip the belt off -Beterbiev/Smith within the next 12 months to keep the money coming in.

In the meantime, I would prefer Yarde has at least 2 decent fights to build back up. I would prefer it’s not Dos Santos, but I will let it go for the first one back after such a hard fight last time.

 

Yarde was offered the vacant EBU title vs Daniel Dos Santos with purse bids scheduled for tomorrow but they haven’t pursued.

He’ll fight Ricky Summers instead which is crap tbh. Need to keep him closer to world level.

Yarde is garbage. Hasn't beaten an opponent worth wasting air on. Needs to drop the mass and go down to super mid. He gets eaten up by any top fighter, as it shows.

 

Agree bomber. Good speed and a hard puncher but has a 5/6 round ceiling.

 

He has no good attributes. QB hypejob, like Joyce.

Had to return for this. WTF. I thought Yarde would be fighting someone of the calibre of Joe Smith Jr. He even turned down a vacant European title shot against a guy Buatsi knocked out years ago. Who is his best win? Domestic level Lyndon Arthur? This is going to be chief support and is a terrible mismatch. Zero justification.
