Have you seen the figures offered to Smith Jr on both fights then? How do you know he didn’t get offered more money to fight Ramirez? Also the Yarde offer would have been to fight in the UK. With Ramirez he can stay in America.

 

It's clear they had no intention to make the fight as Yarde is fighting Ricky Summers, who is clearly several levels below Joe Smith Jr. Yarde isn't even fighting a world ranked fighter.

 

You don’t know that. You don’t know what offers were made or what conversation were had.

 

If Joe Smith Jr rejected the fight, which is a possibility, why is Yarde not fighting someone around the level of Smith Jr, who a level below - like the European title fight against Santos which he rejected? It makes zero sense.

 

Again, I have no ideas who they’ve made offers to. Doesn’t make Warren a liar because Smith Jr is taking a fight in his own country and probably for more money.

I don’t post here often now. I have not been talking about Matchroom or DAZN. All I’ve done is criticise Frank Warren for talking about matching Anthony Yarde with a world level fighter, and then choosing an English level opponent, and criticising the lack of promotion for Beterbiev Smith before it was cancelled.
