i thought kov was on the slide but his last performance was impressive. yarde will be doing well to see the final bell

This will be another cej scenario but even worse imo.
Yarde will struggle to get inside kov and no doubt get punished for his attempts. He will then start to run out of ideas and inevitably get k.od
Although tunde is something of a fool, I do like yarde. He seems a pleasant lad and I wish him the very best. I noticed in his last fight that yarde stance is all shoulder on and he is quite effective with it, he adds reach onto his lead hand and then still manages to get his back hand off quite effectively.
Good luck to the lad, but I only see this going 1 way

Think Yarde will pull out with an injury or something, I don't expect this to actually happen when it comes to it.

It's a massive ask but this isn't the Kovalev who destroyed Cleverly.

One thing Kovalev has always been criminally overlooked for is the fact he is a very very good boxer. He has skills and he also has the experience.

This is a mammoth task but it's so difficult to analyse as we know nothing about Yarde and neither do his team as he doesn't spar!

Good luck to him and I can't wait to see what he brings.

It’s a win win for the Lions camp , Yarde team have have played a blinder he has got his title chance without being in a truely competitive fight , some might argue that’s because he is so good , but realistically the opposition has been mediocre at best. Now he has a massive payday against a fading Champion! Good business plan .

So so true. He is a brilliant boxer, very skilful. Yarde would have to really force the pace to make him gas like Tunde thinks. Thing is, we’ve never seen Tunde move beyond the (pedestrian) one pace he’s displayed.

Yardes stamina isn't the best. He was blowing pretty hard by the 4th round in his last fight. I think he's tight at the weight.

Kov will outbox and stop him anyway.

This folks is what is known as a cash out.

Don't be fooled by this one, Yarde has about as much chance vs Kovalev as Crolla did vs Loma or Khan has vs Crawford. None.

After being knocked into row-z by the Crusher, I fully expect Yarde and Tunde to go back to facing the Israel Duffus and Tony Averlant's of the world back at the Brentwood Leisure Centre.

Don't think this guy will ever fight Johnson or Buatsi. He seems to have Amir Khan syndrome in that he avoids all his biggest rivals.

I don’t think Yarde has that high of a punch output to gas him out after 4 rounds as Ajayi says

    This is a ridiculous post.

Kovalev has been knocked out twice in his last 5 fights. Whilst he is still a formidable fighter, he is vulnerable to both head and especially the body, he is 36/37 and a big time vodka drinker..to compare it to a being as big as a task as British level Crolla and a now washed up, former top fighter in Khan facing Loma and Crawford is just plain nonsense.

Kovalev looked good in his last fight, but there’s ways Yarde can win which wouldn’t make it a surprise to me in the slightest.

Everybody said he wouldn’t go near Kovalev, so now that’s been disproven, I don’t think it’s fair to try to beat him with the “he won’t fight Buatsi brush” as that fight has not yet been feasible for both sides. Before anybody says it, even Buatsi has said the fight will happen from his side when it makes financial sense.
