Nothing against him but his style was horrible He got a gift against Colin lynes In prizefighter semi and then contested the worst final ever v junior witter I did wonder where he had dissapeared to Robert Lloyd Taylor and larry ekundayo are another 2 who didn't push on straight away
I think it was knee trouble that sidelined him, he used to be pretty active on Twitter, always replied to me, and I suspect everyone else who contacted him. I'm sure I read somewhere recently on a Goodwin press release that he is working with another Goodwin fighter for an upcoming bout for one of their York Hall cards (the other Goodwin fighter's upcoming bout, not El Maachi).
He wanted to fight Kell Brook but Kell supposedly had bigger fish to fry. The sad thing is, Kell has still not fought anyone note worthy. atsch
Didn't El Maachi make a bit of noise at one of Kell Brook's press confrences saying he was being avoided etc? It's a shame he hasn't been able to kick on since winning Prizefighter though.
