Was watching the fight with two buddies tonight who have never watched boxing. One of the guys' whole family is from Youngstown, thus, the interest in Pavlik. Both guys got up, put their coats on and started walking to the door when Pavlik got knocked down in the second. I stopped both of them and said, "He's been down before. If he can get through the round, he'll be okay." They looked at me like I was crazy. Then, the round ended and they cut to Pavlik's corner. Jack Loew asked him if he was okay, and Pavlik said, "Yeah, I'm good." as if he had just finished reading a book, and not taken 20 clean shots from one of the best middleweights in the past ten years. Right after that comment, my buddy turned to me, took his coat off, and said, "Pavlik's going to knock him out." The rest is history. Props to Kelly, and Taylor. What a great fight! I'm a huge Taylor fan, but Pavlik is the baddest dude to come through the middleweight division in a long time.

Totally agree. Pavlik is a BALLSY ****. Too ballsy though.

When he got hurt he was looking at Taylor to say something so Taylor hit him more. When he got up he was right in front of Taylor wanting to ruck. When he went to his corner it was like nothing had happened.

Pavlik took Miranda to the depths of pain too.

    Pavlik certainly is relentless.

Yeah, he dropped his hands as if to say "come on, bring it!"

    Big mistake

I believe Pavlik TOTALLY disrespected Taylor. He thought he'd walk right through him.

Taylor proved to be faster and more powerful than many expected.

Pavlik stuck his tongue out, dropped his hands and was generally egging Taylor on.

Props to him for adapting. He started thinking more about defence, moving his head and sticking to the simple but more reliable 1-2.
