Thurman was never projected to be a monster. His highest ceiling was he could possibly be the man of the division — a big strong welter who could box and would be a handful for anyone.

He certainly didn't get the hype/praise that Spence/Crawford enjoyed/enjoy even though he blew their resume out of the water being the first man to have wins over Danny and Shawn.
