You're aware Jennings got his ranking for going the distance with a 39years old Wlad and being clearly beaten?
Wladimir Klitschko 241 lbs beat Bryant Jennings 227 lbs by UD in round 12 of 12
• 116-111 ,118-109,116-111

• You're aware the only ranked fighter ,[and very briefly,] Jennings beat was the unheralded Mike Perez?
You're aware 9 fight novice Joe Joyce comprehensively beat Jennings?
117- 110, 115-112, 118-109.
Jennings has lost each time he as gone up in class and so has Ortiz!

Like the numbers matter. Jennings clearly didn't deserve a Ring Rating.

And, I think the bigger point being made is that he is a "****ing nobody".

Harsh, maybe - but borne out by his results, nonetheless.

Did we not agree to skip each others posts? Also , how sad of you to mention a 36 year old Jennings losing to Joyce after the hissy fit you threw over 36 year old Kevin Johnson. .

Like it matters if you said “clearly.” Jennings was a pretty good fighter for a couple years and beat prime versions of Perez and Szpilka and lost 8-4 to Wlad. That’s better than Tommy Morrison and guys like that would’ve done.

He may even become the first bridgerweight champ and become relevant again.

Is that all?
Were those the years he went 2-2?
The same years, during which he gained an inflated rating (for losing) then went backwards from there?

Who?

I think that result "clearly" says more about Wlad than it does about Jennings.
You have no idea how Morrison might have done.

Who cares?

Ortiz outperformed Wlad in 2015 minus the Fury fight and that is irrefutable #fact.

PS disrespecting Perez makes you neither a tough guy nor knowledgeable

Ortiz's perfrormance against Jennings was good.
Better than Wlad's.
Or either of the men who beat Jennings since.

He went down after he lost to Wlad you donut. He was top five when he lost to Wlad, and then he went down before he fought Ortiz. So what he'd given an old Wlad a somewhat hard fight? He won like three rounds. It was his hardest fight in ten years? Yeah, that's what happens when you get older.

Regardless of whether we're splitting hairs on whether he was top five, ten or two hundred, the point remains. Bryan Jennings is a nobody. A gatekeeper. He's worse than Derrick Chisora...

This is not even a decent win, yet it's Ortiz's best.

Kingpin turned pro as a flat footed bum. What can't you understand about that?

Back to Johnson? For the record I never rated him, nor said he had good footwork.Go argue with someone on a thread that is relevant to Johnson this isn't it!

I saw the fights. As I remember it, Ortiz was quite impressive.
Rivas did good against Jennings too but I felt Ortiz looked better.
Joyce did not impress much at all. Strange fight. Jennings seemed to block almost all Joyce's punches but two of the judges scored it big for Joyce.
