    I never noticed that.

Paul Fuji was the Jr Welter Champion

Yoshiaki Numata was the Jr Lightweight Champion

Mitsunori Seki was the Featherweight Champion

Fighting Harada was the Bantam Champion

Chartchai Chionoi was the Flyweight Champion

The LHW Champion was an African, Dick Tiger... and the LW was Carlos Ortiz.

And 3 americans, Ali, Griffith and Curtis Cokes.

A bit sad isn’t it. As much as American Boxing has given us, & it is a lot, I do wish it had more of a global flavour. I can’t believe I just halfway made an argument for diversity! First & last time.

Griffith could've been the only one and I would've been happy.

Dick Tiger was retired from his post as light heavyweight champion by Bob Foster's left hook.
