Lovely kid off our Manor in Birmingham just been announced he will fight Conor Benn on the Amir Con undercard, great bit of exposure and hopefully a payday for a great kid who always comes in to do his best.

A huge chance for him to become a big star against one the worst out there so good luck to him

He has every chance of pulling off the upset

Saw quite abit of Chris early in his career. Glad his got the fight and gives him a chance to get his name out their and bigger fights if he wins. Be interesting on the weight he posted it was changed from orignal offer. Day b4 weigh in and extra.weight in benns favour tho Chris has plenty notice. Hope he pulls it off.

I dont know ur friend but he has a good oppertunity here. Connor is still green and beatable. He doesnt like people who come to fight and a decent amateur would give him trouble.

    Conor is just useless.

He was bounced around like a basketball by a french part time journeyman Cedrick Peynaud, and lost the fight but was saved from his L by the British referee/judge.

Whether its the TS friend or another fighter, he loses and fades into obscurity quickly if he steps up even slightly above what he is at now in terms of levels.

If it wasnt for his surname he would be completely irrelevant and just be a small hall fighter.

He's been stopped three times, once by Ohara Davis, but he's experienced, and you never know do you, just hope he's getting paid well and it's good exposure and nice for a local lad to hit the limelight, we've had a few from round here do OK. Chris Lyons, Darren Morris both went pro, also Anthony Spanna Hanna who fought Damean Kelly for the commonwealth title. Also "legendary" trainer Nobby Nobbs is off our estate

My cousin beat Hanna twice he was a tough lad. Think Truman took the Davies fight at short notice without much of a camp.

Hanna was a good kid with a proper trainer and guidance he could maybe have done a bit more

I reckon Conor Benn is a tough kid too Maley. I think he's far better at the same stage of his career than Eubank Jr. was. Can't understand all the negative comments ....not from you, obviously....but from plenty of so called boxing fans towards Benn. Especially given how popular his dad is/was you'd think Conor wouldn't be getting such a hard time from fans. I'm amazed at it to be honest.
