Well here we go again. Yellow Canelo has picked an opponent (Smith) from England who has never fought outside of England. Nobody ever heard of him. His record is impressive if you take into consideration that the only guys he fought were taxi cab drivers and one was a sacker in a grocery store. None of them have an impressive fight and their records were miserable. And so Yellow Canelo has again shown his big bad brave boxing ability by fighting someone who in this case is not smaller than his weigh in, but someone who nobody ever heard of. Thanks DeLaHoya !!! your just doing a great job showing the boxing fans how you can avoid exposing your fighters to someone who MIGHT have a chance. Also, thanks to the boxing commission for allowing fixed fights. Thanks for your attention, dorjbrun
I'm British and I hold almost no hope for Smith, it's a poor opponent considering Khan was Canelo's last opponent. The PPV numbers interest me more than the fight.
No he doesn't. There are more than half a dozen names on GGG's record who are more proven contenders than Smith who has fought one top25 opponent to date in John Thompson who Willie Monroe easily beat a couple of months back.
Actually, I've been thinking about what a weak titlist Smith is long before he signed to fight Canelo.
