Did I vote for KO/TKO???????

 

Pavlik by KO or lopsided decision. Martinez is a good fighter but a lot of ppl are putting too much into his performance against Williams. Williams doesn't fight well against southpaws...especially slick ones (Quintana for example). I see Pavlik using his height as an advantage with long jobs and a lot of straight rights. I also think that Pavlik keeps his opponents at a distance better than Williams.
Pavlik is a natural middleweight and a bigger puncher than Williams too. Pavlik by a lopsided win.

Interesting poll results. I can see why Top Rank likes this matchup. Martinez doesn't bend at the waist very well, and he's short on ideas when he's getting barraged. He had some major difficulties with the straight left of Williams, he rolled into it about 800 times. Trampler knows that most of Martinez' best stuff is going to bounce off of Pavlik. Pavlik will be there long enough to get those opportunities to trap Martinez, and he has the guns to do serious damage every time. Pavlik hits harder and can take a harder shot. Even if Martinez makes him look like a fool for long periods Pavlik's conditioning and power will take their toll.

 

Yeah, as long as Martines has the legs to stay away and avoid being trapped, he will do quite well.

Other than that, Pav will pounce on him.

 

pavlik was outclassed 10 lbs. over his natural weight by a HOF fighter where as PW lost his title to a blown-up jr. welter. And now this same blown up welter is going to beat the Middle weight champ? Some of you are in for a rude awakening.
