You're guessing is what you're doing. You want PBF to not have anything to do with it. But it's simply not the case. If PBF slapping him at the press conference and disrespecting him had something to do with the PPV buys, HE STILL HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE NUMBERS. HE SOLD THE PPV AS WELL. You just admitted it....so stop arguing the point.
:good What you just said brought tears to my eyes. Seriously though, some of these kids should go watch some ice dancing. Who wants to see the supposed best there is in boxing fight some guy that shouldn't have had the belt in the first place. "It was a smart business decision.......money.....bla bla bla...." People here act like they're on Floyd's payroll.
again, he's a smart business man ( i never said he wasn't)..so your happy just knowing people bought it to see him get his head knocked off ....but in the long run, he'll never be remembered cause real boxing fans dont like that ****......well, unless your gonna back it up in the ring of course.....and i dont mean running away to a victory, i mean really putting his filthy money where his mouth is....
I'm not happy with any of it. I don't particularly care. Just don't think it's cool that respected posters like yourself are basically making something up saying PBF had nothing to do with selling that PPV. If you said the same about DLH, I would have defended that position as well cuz it's false. And sorry, you can only make a case for PBF "running" in 2 fights, and in one fight, it's not even a strong case. That running thing is kinda old and a cop out now. PBF has 38 fights, the other 36 count too....
He's right though. Nobody really did know who PBF was before Oscar. And his stock was on the decline after the Baldomir performance. You have high profile people walking out on a fight that Floyd said was going to end with Baldomir, "on his ass, face, or waving the white flag." Instead, we got to see a track meet. The point is, if Oscar declined to take the fight, who would Floyd have fought instead? Hatton? You know damn well he wasn't going fight Margarito, been there done that, and it wasn't likely he was going to fight Cotto either. If Hatton-Mayweather happened before Oscar-Mayweather, who would have been the bigger draw?
let me ask you this....i'll see if your a fan of the sport, or simply just a fan of floyds.... as a fan, are you happy knowing that it was floyds idiotic ways that helped the sales go up....therefore, leaving more people dissapointed, and swaying away from the sport you claim to love.... or can you honestly admit (yes even as a floyd fan it's legal ) that he ****ed up by getting all the negative attention, not living up to the hype, and forcing people away from the sport..... and i dont gotta go on a website to know that alot of people hate his guts for that now....and will continue to pay for ppv's just to see him even get hit once FLUSH....believe me, i know many people like that....
Lmao! drove people away from the sport? Is that why he'll be the first nonheavy to generate back to back 1 million buys in one calender year? Is that why he'll be the first fighter to create 200 million dollars in revenue in a single year? Please, boxing was on the slide before floyd, it actually has life now and interest around the globe.
nobody knew who floyd was before oscar?????? Are you kidding me bro-----denial is a disease, to even think something so ridiculous like that is enigma in itself..:-(. By that time floyd was a champ in.....uh....5 weight classes already. All oscar did REALISTICALLY was just add another knotch under his belt..and at the same time get oscars belt.........:good
you know what he means...and it's true, the majority of people wathing that fight had no ****en clue who mayweather was......AT ALL hate it or love it, but it's the ****en truth
then what the **** are you doing here. you mad that floyd will do what no fighter has ever done before:deal
WHAT HAS HE DONE acts like 50 had a few gift decisions depended on other fighter to fill his pockets hits girls
I don't care about PBF one way or the other. End of story. I also don't agree that Mayweather has made anyone stop watching the sport. If anything, he may be hated, but people will watch MORE to see him get beaten. I don't buy into that runner crap people sell here all the time. I have seen very few runners in boxing.....Spinks ran from Taylor. PBF ran at the end of the Baldomir fight. He rarely left range vs DLH. And as I said earlier, his 36 previous fights, he never ran. Running is mentioned here far too often by posters who simply don't like defensive minded boxing styles. There is a difference between defensive boxing and running. And you exxagerrate.
