    Ha!

But it wasn't Floyd's fault for accusing him of cheating with no proof, and for making the testing demands in the first place??

He'd never asked the same of any other opponent, in a 13 year career.

After 13 years, he suddenly wanted to clean up the sport?

EVERY businessman cares about money. Arum met with Floyd just prior to Manny's last fight against Marquez.

    Divi253,

He wasn't going to publicly announce that, for OBVIOUS reasons. Do you really need me to spell it out? If he'd have admitted that, how could he have negotiated other things?

Floyd initially wanted Manny to be tested up until the day of the fight. Manny said no, and then they tried to negotiate.

    Not even under the circumstances?

Manny was accused, before they even began negotiating. Any demands that Manny made, were in direct response to Floyd's initial demands.

For a start, it was a HUGE thing that he was demanding. He'd never done it before, and none of Manny's other opponents have required the same thing.

Right, so Manny should have instantly have bowed down, and given into Floyd's demands? :patsch

    Based on what??

His big mouth Daddy saying "Man that dude started out at 105, and now he's fighting at 147, that mother****er must be on something!"

It took Manny 13 YEARS to get to 147.

Floyd also started out at a low weight, came up through 5 divisions, and fought Oscar at 152 in 2007.

So on that basis, Floyd must have been on PEDS too right?

You're also forgetting the fact, that the Mayweather's all apologised, by saying they had no proof, and had to pay out over a $100,000

Talks? Ha! Is that all it was?

I'd love to have seen how Floyd and his family would have reacted, if Manny and Freddie had accused Floyd of being a cheat. :good

I still can't believe people have a hard time admitting that Mayweather was scared to fight Pacquiao. Look back through Mayweather's long career. Never once has he ever made accusations, talked about, and got mad about another fighter like he did and continues to still do whenever Pacquiao is mentioned. No other fighter, ever, made Floyd scared for his health and cause him to stutter and lie on so many occasions. To me, if a fighter is scared for his health and well being as much as Mayweather was and is he will not be easy to negotiate with.

    Divi253,

    What are you talking about?

Manny was accused of cheating, and then Floyd demanded that he be tested all the way up to the fight, for it to take place.

So you're ok with Manny been accused of cheating with no proof?

He was never going to give Floyd all of that power in negotiation by agreeing to everything he said. The testing issue was agreed to in the end, and then Floyd apparently tried to make the fight, by wanting the ENTIRE PPV. That speaks volumes.

I'm saying that Manny wanted a guarantee, as in, he wanted it in writing. He wanted it legally binding. He thought Floyd was bluffing, so he wanted a guarantee. Then a few months down the line, Floyd gave various interviews explaining why he COULDN'T have 50/50.

It was an EDUCATED guess, so stop being ridiculous.

They didn't have exact figures, but they knew for a fact, that the price would have been HIGHER than in 2007. That's obvious to anyone.

The 2007 fight with Oscar grossed $120m.

The PPV price would have been HIGHER in 2009/2010, than what it would have been in 2007. It was a bigger fight, that would have brought more interest. THERFORE, we know for a fact (without having exact numbers) that it would easily have surpassed $120m. Which means that Floyd wanting the entire PPV revenue, was nothing short of a joke!

If it was vice versa, and I came on here and said "If Floyd was clean, then why didn't he take the test?" I know the exact response that I'd get.

    It should be implemented.

A fighter should be randomly tested at ANY point.

Its not justifiable for Manny to turn down the fight and drug testing because his feelings were hurt.

Well if Manny said "no" then I would agree. But i stead he's lying or asking for cutoffs and sh*t. Basically he played himself.
