Yes. He looked most comfortable at 154.

In their first match, Hearns, IMO would have won the bout if it have gone the distance. So it won't be a surprise if he wins on an immediate rematch at 154.

At 154 I think Hearns had better stamina. He looked like a fresher fighter at this weight. This is what failed him in the first fight. I think he holds on for dear life in the 15th and wins a decision.

 

There was nothing wrong with his stamina whatsoever in the first fight. He was on his toes boxing and moving beautifully throughout, except in the instances where Leonard happened to catch him with a big punch or a flurry. This didn't only apply late in the fight either, it was happening as early as the 7th round. His only problem that night was Leonard's power. This excuse about his stamina or even lack of experience needs to go.

 

Like you said Leonard was able to hurt him a few times throughout the fight. The only difference was that Tommy has enough left in him earlier to recover and then continue to box the pants off of Leonard. By the 13 and 14th rounds he was too tired to do anything with Leonard. This was evident, his legs were gone, he had nothing left and thus his stamina has failed him.

The experience was there though, that was as good a TH at 147 as there ever was.

Tommy's chin was his downfall with Hagler, and his stamina was his downfall with Leonard.

 

That's just not true though. He was out-boxing him the same way in the later portions of the fight as he was early on, even moreso in fact due to the movement and jab he was using more often. He showed no signs of weakening in any other instances than when Leonard caught him with some good shots.

The fact that he finally succumbed to Leonard's punches in the 14th doesn't mean that by then he was starting to fade, it just means that he couldn't hold up to that kind of punishment, especially as Leonard was giving it out more often than ever as he'd figured out Tommy's game. Tommy did everything he could and looked great throughout the fight, he just couldn't hold Ray off for the full 15.

 

The only thing wrong with Tommy that night was his chin, as was the case for every other fight. Leonard's power shots made the difference.
