...for him not to kiss the canvass...This might just be the best suited scenario for him to get the W from PAC. :smoke

Well... maybe yes because it seem it doesn't matter what he does after he gets up it's always the other guy who gets the close rounds and the close decision. Both fights could've gone either way but both fights went in favor of Pac... so maybe the KD isn't just bad bacause it's minus 1 point on the cards but because it seems judges still under the magic of that shot rounds later...

    Absolutely.

All these "schoolings" are all for naught when the one who supposedly schools is being hurt and knocked down not more than just once.

If you want to beat Pacquaio, there are two things you MUST do: outbox him and don't get hurt in return..

JMM did the former, but how about the latter?.:yep

Well, I agree, the scoring of the first round was crucial... but how do you explain the judge scoring the fight 115-110 in favor of Pac? He barely won a CLEAR round after the 1st...

By the way: back then the WBA PROHIBITED scoing any round wider than 10-7. They changed it AFTER the fight and because of the fight. The whole idea was that the fighter who gets KD loses a point but shouldn't lose 5 points if he gets decked 5 times... it the old days, before the 10 point must sytem 5 KDs didn't mean 5 point difference, there was round scoring.

Both fights were close so I don't say controverisal decision. But I'd like to see a 3rd fight and a clear winner, either JMM or PacMan, I like both.

it seems like the consensus view is that Marquez had the better of the 2 fights overall and got shafted by the judges at least once.

JMM gets older and older each day..i seriously doubt he'll do better in a 3rd fight. I see another fight going the distance, jmm winning more rounds but with KDs the fight will be close again

JMM has to either totally dominate pac with minimal knockdowns, I'm talking dominate for 10 rounds to even have a chance at a U.D. Or knock pac out..

    You are correct!

There were alot of Journalist who saw JMM win 9 and even 10 rounds in their first fight, but it only got him a draw.

In the rematch, a large majority found JMM winning 8 of the 12 rounds......last time I checked, winning 8+ rounds while suffering a knockdown in the process=a win!

......so you are right, the likely scencario for JMM to even fathom to win on the cards, is to win 10 clear rounds while not suffering a knockdown.
.....maybe then, he can have a good shot at winning a close decision!:yep

Even if he stayed off the canvas he would have gotten a draw in the last one.

People who think the judges in any of the Pac vs JMM fights were corrupt are simply ******ed

Thats whats even sadder about the whole situation.....even the Pac fans on this forum have claimed that JMM did'nt deserve to win because he could'nt stay off the canvas.

.....then when you analyze it a little bit more closely....even without the 3rd round knockdown, it would have been declared a ridiculous draw with JMM thoroughly outboxing Pac every which way!

Thankyou Pharoah, even though you're too blind to see it, you just made a monumental point in this thread, and the point of the thread starter that JMM would need to win 10 clear rounds to have a legit shot at a decision.
A draw is as good as JMM would have gotten even while staying on his feet throughout the whole fight!

If that is'nt corruption, I dont know what is!:? :-(
