    Yeah, I agree.

That definitely wasn't Cotto's best fight though. I think a guy with a good guard like Clottey would have given him a lot of trouble in that stage in his career and may have even beat him.

Now, I think he would use his legs and outbox Clottey to a UD devoid of a whole lot of actions except for maybe the first few rounds.

Indeed. I think the fact that Urkal opened him up with a headbutt and basically fought in survival mode was the reason why Cotto appeared frustrated.

And he actually seemed to adapt pretty nicely to Ndou, I thought, and utilised more movement and countering the secure the decision against a live, tough, aggressive opponent.

When has he had to keep up a high work rate against a fight who was able to take his best shot. His conditioning hasn't been tested like that ... as of yet.

He did exactly the same thing against Mosley and NDou - once he saw he coudn't take em outa there and they kept coming, he boxed and moved to win on points. I'm not taking for granted that Tony will keep on walking to the shots but he most definitely will back Cotto away if he gets to pass eight rounds... The Urkal fight was discussed too many times. Urkal was trying to survive and in his way to a loss ( open scoring) and didn't know where he was going, Luis Pabon was very partial and Cotto was just tryin to get rid of him to fight Zab.

The gif image doesn't say much about it. But if you add Lennox Lewis comment it may explain:

    This content is protected
"Urkal has to be careful because everytime he covers up, his head comes across his front foot, and his balance is in front of him"... Luis Pabon interrupted the fight at 1:51 seconds of round number six for that situation, took a point away in round 7 and a 2nd point away when Urkal was ducking and clinching in round 11.

thanks guys... that is just something that was on my mind. I want cotto to win so bad but i think people are totally underating just how big a problem margarito is going to be for him... and i DO think cotto has problems with people who are not going anywhere...

the thing with mosley was, mosley isnt as big as margarito and wasnt in cottos face as much as margarito will be. Cotto was able to dictate his rythem much more then i think margarito will let him...

i cant wait for the fight but it def will be a nervous wait...

Are you seriously questioning whether or not that butt was intentional or not? Urkal lunged forward with his head and missed. He then turns around and lunges forward with his head down from another position. It's as clear as day, he was purposely headbutting. The same way he was doing Vivian Harris in their fights.

margarito is your typical tough Mexican and he hase a big hart big work rate
and he is always game and he is going to bring it. if cotto was one dimensional i could not see cotto winning. but hes not. i can see cotto mixing up brawling and boxing to beat margarito.

I don't know about the Vivian Harris fights. It was a headbutt and a point should have been taken away from Urkal right there ... Urkal throws a left to the body, takes one and doesn't know where he's going when turning - his head comes across his front foot and he was out of balance forward. Cotto loses his cool right there, punches three times on the break and refuses to touch gloves with him in the end of the sixth. Pushes Urkal's head down and locks it under his left arm several times. Lifts him up in the air in round 10 and keeps on complaining to Luis Pabon. The referee had no alternative but to take a second point away from him in round 11.

No disrespect to Cotto but the fight was already won, he didn't need to make a big deal of it. Miguel was outa control because he had a big fight in June and got cut in that March mandatory title fight against Oktay.
