Two Brazilians coming off a loss, and two men who bring it standing up.

Stann Vs Lombard seemed the natural choice and Dana has just confirmed on twitter it's on. I imagine the winner of this will be looking at a title shot.

I guess Rampage isn't getting the Shogun fight next, what with surgery and 'hilarious' **** videos. Thiago looks to have lost half a step and, whilst heavy handed, shouldn't be able to stand with Shogun. I guess he goes with another loss and gets cut.

Lombard Vs Stann; Stann isn't getting Lombard to the mat so they're striking. Lombard brings ferocity, Stann packs a whallop and is able to come out on top of a firefight. With 4oz gloves anything can happen. Will Lombard's power be shown up against the top fighters in the UFC? Will he be able to outstrength a former LHW in Stann?

I'm going with Hector to drop and finish Stann at some point in a war of attrition that Stann's heart and toughness make much more competitive than some will think.

Good matchmaking. I would love to see the winner take on the winner of Belcher-Palhares in a final eliminator, whilst Anderson batters either Bisping/Boestch.

Lombard brings a BJJ Blackbelt and Olympic level Judo... He can pretty much dictate where this fight goes. Hector TKO 1.

Lombard is perfectly capable of winning this, but Stann is no joke, if it turns into a stand up brawl Stann will take it.

Lombard is faster and hit harder IMO. Bad fight for Stann......
I think the UFC wants to get rid of Thiago.....no way he beats Shogun.....IMO

Haven't seen enough of Lombard to pick, but Stann has really been looking good lately. Given how Shogun has looked lately I think a guy as aggressive as Silva might give him trouble. A couple years ago I'd say Shogun by KO, but now that seems like a hard pick to make.

Excellent matchmaking here. Are both these fights on the same night and did dana say when they would be on?
