Stann has the height and reach. He could very well outbox Lombard all night long.

 

So far Stann strikes me as too much of a real fighter. He was strategic versus Leben was he was ****ing mans up. Sakara didn't phase him, **** his boxing, I'm ****ing mans up.

Lombard has to be careful he doesn't get any of the ****ing mans up treatment cos it hurts. Leben got sparked so many people are suspect until the punches land and they take them.

I agree with u.lombard is not a big man an I feel he would be schooled by the likes of silva Belfort Sonnen even bisping..
I actually like stann in this bout ..

I have had to put up with Lombard being treated like a god here in oz as he was fed tomato cans

Don't get me wrong. Lombard is a tough guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him blow Stann out of the water.

However I like this fight stylistically for Stann. He's taller and has a longer reach. The Jackson camp has shown it can develop proper game plans for their fighters. I can see them coming up with a plan of non-engagement ala Condit/Diaz with Stann following it to a decision.

 

Well Stann has the power to outstrike him, but not the fundamentals to out box him, at least in the traditional sense

But I agree, the reach knowlegde disadvantage will be a problem for Lombard

 

I think Lombard will be smart and will take the fight to the floor. There is no need to risk anything in a stand-up fight. If he takes Stann down, that's it, and I think he's more than capable of doing it.

 

Aint the god part the truth, until he looses its going to be like that.... but if he wins wont hear the end of it, good on him though now well get to see what hes really made of

**** it id say he could make 55. Without his gear there's no way he'd look like that. He's a small guy with a small build. He's only 5ft 9. There's no reason at all for all that extra musculature.
