I've said it before, this fight goes the distance. Both guys have a ton power, but neither have great technique at deploying it. Both have decent chins, but I'll take David as having better stamina and more activity. Lemieux by UD.

I've liked the development I've seen in David with his last two fights, where I think Curtis still needs more time to rebuild from the Golovkin fight.

    :?

Neither has a decent chin. Both have at best "nearly average" chins. (saying either has glass would be overstating it, but they are both susceptible to bombs the likes of which each can dish out; as you say both have a ton of power...)

Stevens only made it eight rounds with Golovkin by shelling up with earmuffs on and didn't open himself up to many counters as he looked to play the countering role himself as Golovkin walked him down. Remember, he was down as early as the 2nd.

They were knocked out by Primera and Rubio, and domineered by non-punchers Brinkley and Alcine respectively. Superman Findley and Dangerous Mouton both hurt Stevens a couple of times. Lemieux once or twice by Torres.

...on the gloves. When Golovkin landed truly big shots Stevens went down (2nd) and was stopped (8th).

    Great match-up.
The winner gets to face the brutal Lucien Bute.

Stevens was down in the 2nd, he got up though. I dont think Stevens chin is weak, its not granite either. Most people will go down when Golovkin catches them with a clean hard shot.

This fight has "interesting" written all over it. Hope it happens if Stevens cant land Quillin.

I just don't see the depth in Lemieux, I think Stevens would bomb him out early, and in style.

I just don't see what he has, besides a little bit of power, personally.

That's really it. In quick firefight he might be lucky enough to strike before he gets struck.

...but yeah, I'd make Stevens at least a 70% favorite to clobber him. Lemieux is dumb as **** and has no defense. I'm not sure what exactly he was ever taught by Russ Anber except how to make weight and put a few power combos together. :conf

I agreed with the part that said "it can't be a draw" That's my prediction, anything but a draw.
