Keep in mind that the athletes getting away with using PEDs have also passed urine tests.

The NSAC does'nt test for HGH, as you stated, I guess you need several blood tests over time to compare the results and then see if there is HGH use, at least this is what I've gathered by reading from several differenct posters around here that seem to be in the know....
Lets say that the Urine tests alone would have been sufficient........

If taking random samples of blood on a fighter over the course of two months wont detect either way if a fighter is using HGH, could it be that Pac does'nt want to leave a trail of his blood over the course of several fights for those responsible to test will then be able to compare????

Whether blood detects HGH or not, there is really no reason for refusing blood testing.......obviously the Oympics and the Tour de France dont just conduct these blood tests for no good reason.

Are there particular PED's that a blood test might be able to detect better than a urine test......maybe so, so why not test both, consideing whats at stake here with the Mayweather vs Pacquiao matchup.

Well thats the whole idea, is to make pac look like a cheater. Of course he gonna have to ask mosley to do the test. Thats what the mayweathers have been trying to do for months by acusing pac a user.

Isnt that ****ing obvious by now that his intention had nothing to do with cleaning up the sports. He dont care about anything except protecting his 0 and milking the fans.

Mayweather may very well have asked Pac to go through the doping tests knowing full well the he was a cheat and would reject that idea.....but so what????

Pac should'nt have to go through more stringent tests and boxing should stay as it is with there joke of a testing protocol just because it was Mayweather who exposed this joke of a protocol for drug testing?

At one point its time to stop looking at who is asking for the change in testing, and start doing what is best for boxing and and the fairness in sports in general.

Random drug testing is great for the sport and should be implemented in all big or championship fights.

Mayweathers should have approached the boxing commission and state their concern if cleaning up the sports is what they have in mind.

I dont think pac or anyone would object to random testing if the commision have decided to implement this new rules.

The way the mayweathers approached the issues created a right mess.

I am happy to see this happen. This is one area in boxing that needs cleaned up among many. Pacquiao v Mayweather could have set a precedent for this but Pacquiao refused. At least Mayweather v Mosley will, another high profile fight.

I think its Ellebre who is really demanding the blood testing I think he wants to see if Floyd has contracted any STDs considering the two have a long term relationship, so rather than to accuse Floyd of cheating on him, he can demand this kind of testing to secretly find out if Floyd is fooling around.~

the more opponents agree to the drug testing, the guiltier pacquiao is gonna look, then pac has the decision to take the tests and fight floyd, or retire with people suggesting hes a cheat!!! :bbb...

Nobody is saying thats what he had in mind.
Mayweather may have only had his self interest in mind, who gives a **** as long as the end result is that in the finality of it all we get to watch Superfights where we know that the highest standards of testing are being implemented and everything possible is being done so the boxing at the highest level has a standard of fairness.

Look what happened to baseball and its steroids controversy........if that was'nt enough to get boxing to follow suit and implement better testing, nothing short of the melee that ensued with Mayweather's demands would give boxing a push to go the direction of better standards and testing for PED's.

.....and as for what Pac had done had the rules changed for better testing????? Who the hell really knows. Who's to say Pacquiao would'nt have announced his retirement before taking a fight where they could legitly test him.
Who's to say he would'nt have called a newsconference to announce he's dedicating the rest of his life to run for office.:nut

Who would conduct this random blood and urine testing? The Nevada Boxing Commission or the US Doping Agency?

Currently any agreement by parties to test both blood and urine randomly, is to be done by an outside agency.

The NSAC cannot just conduct testing because a promotion is asking them too........they could open themselves up for lawsuits if they went that route.

When Bob Arum proposed to let the NSAC have the last word to see if there should be random blood and urine tests for Mayweather-Pacquiao.....Arum knew damn well the NSAC could'nt just change their protocol at the drop of a hat. Legally they could not do that, and Arum only made that proposal because he knew that the NSAC had no choice but to conduct doping tests with their current standard.

What the NSAC must do is announce a protocol for testing and announce publicly before they can implement it.
.....clearlly they have not done that, so any testing for Mayweather-Mosley would have to be done by an outside agency agreed upon by both Mayweather and Mosley.

Floyd, Golden Boy, and their whole group would look very bad if they don;t blood test SHane. It's as much to save face as it is to level the playing field.
