He's a 5x world champion and in this house he is HOF worthy. End of story.

Of course he is. He was famous.
It's in the title folks. Hall of Fame. It's not called the Hall of Who Was the Best.

Saying hes a fringe HOFer is defendable(multi weight champ) the bigger problem is the people he got in over. If hes one of the more qualified people on the ballot it cannot be helped but he wasn't.

So does Kirkland Laing... and he did it years before Paz to a much better Duran!

He was an inferior fighter to the likes of Greg Haugen despite looking like a pharmacy enhanced balloon animal after his neck injury.

Pazienzas best known for his 2 fights with a 45 year old Duran (one of which was a gift decision) beating Lloyd Honeyghan (Honeyghans best days were long gone) & the Haugen trilogy.. he was a limited fighter but went balls to the wall every time out. He came back from a broken freakin' neck too.. think that factors in to his induction.. there are far more deserving Fighters but hey ho.. I wouldn't get too caught up in it.. its just a plaque on a wall

I wouldn't be shocked to see Broner getting in at some point. He shouldn't but I get the feeling they'll find a way to include him.

At this point they might as well have Amir Khan and Gary Russell Jr on the ballot. Perhaps we might see even see Jorge Linares and Abner Mares on the ballot as well.

The biggest fame for Paz that I can think of was him coming back to fight after his accident. Admirable yes but his career as a whole is still flat when you take into consideration that his best win was Greg Haugen, Lloyd Honeyghan and an ancient Roberto Duran. Not to mention he's also mostly known for losing badly to Roger Mayweather, Hector Camacho and Roy Jones Jr.
