Is the WBC protecting Canelo from Cotto by enforcing his mandatory in 2013?

This is another attempt from the WBC to protect "Fraudanelo" (Canelo) from being beaten by Miguel?

They say that they will allow Fraudanelo to fight once more (Dec) before enforcing his mandatory. That means, if they really enforce it there will not be a Cotto vs Fraudanelo in May 2013. :verysad

What a joke. Let him fight. Until then, he is nothing but an overhyped fraud.

Cotto will school Fraudanelo. It will be an epic war with Cotto coming on top at the end.

    :deal

That's the problem with disparaging a fighter to this extreme. A win over someone who sucks so bad means absolutely nothing. People can't have it both ways. They need to think this **** through, but I understand that's asking a lot.

no way in hell would they throw him in with a fighter like lara..

there is a reason he cant get a fight anywhere, hes to damn good

yet anyone who takes him on has little to gain from a win

So they're protecting him by making him face his mandatory, most probably Lara? With friends like that ...

If they don't force that, he's free to fight Cotto so what's the problem?

Your logic is all crazy. Canelo(e) would beat Cotto(e) at this point.

He is in the same club as Cleverly and Povetkin for being world champs and taking easier fights than contenders. Canelo is junior mw champ and has never fought a natural 154 pounder in his life. He won the belt against a ww. People will get sick of this guy fast he if doesn't take a competitive fight.
