Maybe Cook DID have the flu, although I doubt it. No one I know has had the flu and we live in the same county(Essex) Usually flu is HIGHLY infectious/contagious

Cook was quoted recently as saying this was the best training camp he'd ever had!!

The point I'm making is that I stopped paying to go to Warren's shows around 1989 because they NEVER were as advertised. The main reason for this is Warren promotes the bill before contracts have been signed.Nearly every show has a major fighter pulling out. Can't be just bad luck when spread over 20+years:-(

Agreed and that's the reason I never buy tickets for SN shows either. Was offered a freebie to Scott Harrison v Nicky Cook a couple of years ago and guess what, main event cancelled but bill still went ahead.

  3. Warren is indeed terrible for fighters pulling out...

But Nicky Cook's flu is suspicious, and you know this because.... you're both from the same county??!!

    Case closed!!!

Not Warren's fault here, but he certainly does seem to have more than his fair share of bad luck (and bad decisions sometimes) when it comes to incomplete fight cards.

Probably because he announces everything at the last minute.

To be fair, a lower % of fighters have pulled out of Warren shows than Hennessy ones. I wonder of Big Mick pays their speeding fine as well as the purse?

Nearly all of the Hennessey withdrawal have been because they have been slated to fight Carl Froch

My experience of flu is it doesn't last that long and Dec 6th is a little while away and it doesn't take much effort to get over it.

I think some of you are confused between the common cold and flu. Flu is a lot more serious than the common cold.

Yes, but flu is nearly always a case of nearly everyone getting it at some point during the winter. I've not heard of anyone in Essex with the flu so far this year

Flu is more intense but doesn't linger as long as a common cold.

The number of people who say they have flu is not in anyway related to the number who actually do.
