but because cotto keeps his hands low and relies on his power he has a legitimate history of getting nailed in recent time. power hitters often take this same road - its a bad habit they develop through the amateurs and its a tough habit to cure when it matters.
cotto is extremley talented, even if slipping punches isnt somthing he is good at, it just goes to show at how amazing everyone at the top level is
He didn't edit the clip he just showed an exchange where Cotto completely bedazzled Marg. It was a pretty fair representation of the first five rounds. Some people have such a superficial understanding of boxing. Cotto isn't Sweetpea (but who is) but he has a exceptional ability to slip and avoid punches, he just doesn't use it as his primary means of defense. You should see cotto sparring, he stands right in front of them wiht his hands low but they can't a glove on him.
I dont think it is. Margo was telegraphing, throwing wide and hardly has Ray Leonard handspeed;plus Cotto was focusing solely on ducking rather than countering (and thus sacrificing balance) in that sequence(which ive watched loads of times) It looks flash that sequence but ive always thought it flatters him.
