    Good riddance

he was a paper champ holding a belt hostage and unwilling to unify with the other beltholders

just like pretty much every other beltholder in that pathetic division

let's hope we get rid of the others too

hopefully Usyk will put an end to this charade that's been going for years

    I agree.

Except I think he shouldve moved up to HW for a fight with Wlad or Wilder.

Either fight woulda got him over the 700K payday he coulda used to get himself out of debt.

Sucks really, cuz he was such a talent.

Goes to show just how poor the CW division pays if your not a German fan favorite. :think

I really hate hearing any fighter is bankrupt or selling off his belts and career mementos for a few pound.

This is a reason I believe there should be some sort of boxing union for fighters, an organisation that helps young and old fighters who may not have had the greatest education manage their affairs better.

This body would be paid for by the fighters themselves, they sign up and then pay a small percentage of any purse they receive, it could help fighters in so many ways, education, help and advice on a career after boxing, maybe even drug and alcohol abuse that we hear so much about when fighters retire.

Well, on a side note, and American fighter who is INJURED to the point he can no longer work in his profession can apply for disability, which he's pays each yr in the form of self employment tax at 15%.

Whether or not the govt allows him to draw depends on the nature of his disability. :think:think

The guy didn't have the bottle to box on no more or the gonads to take a beating for money. He his able bodied enough to do a 101 different type of jobs.

Darren Barker went into the Sturm fight with a blown out back. For doing so he collected a nice 1 million pound cheque to retire on .

What would Hernandez have earned per fight? 250000 euros for his biggest fights?

and what percentage would he have been able to keep when you take away the promotional and training costs

He was a well known fighter in Germany, but never sold out really big arenas.

Partied away all his money and ran through a couple of wives now we are all suposed to feel bad for the guy. Just send him some of your own money if any of you feel so bad for him. I bet he helped out so many when he was doing coke and screwing *****s when the money was flowing.
