This Saturday for the IBF Cruiserweight title, who wins & how? Very interesting fight, Hernandez hasn't fought in 14 months since his disputed decision win over Troy Ross due to an injury earlier this year. Alekseev is a repectable challenger, with a very good amateur pedigree & he certainly possesses enough power to test Hernandez' questionable chin. This fight has been overshadowed by Pacquiao-Rios & Froch-Groves but is potentially as competitive & entertaining as either imo.
It should be much more competive= interesting fight than either one of Froch/Groves or Pac/Rios. YPH by close but decision. He might taste canvas at some point hou.
This could end up being the fight of the weekend, two skilled operators with shaky chins going at it, I'm going with Hernandez coming of the floor to win by majority decision in a good competitive fight but this could really go either way and a KO win for either man isnt out of question. With Pac and Froch fighting at the same weekend this fight is being overlooked but people shouldnt sleep on it cause it should be a good scrap. Good thread bro nice to see this fight getting some deserving attention.
Neither has an iron mandible. I think Alekseev has more power though, but Hernandez is better all round :think.... Hernandez KO6 but will have some hairy moments
:good Gotta love the cruiserweights I think Hernandez will start well, his superior range, speed & all round mobility should do well early on but his stamina is just as questionable as his chin imo. Once he slows down Alekseev should have more success & like you say, literally any result in this fight is possible.
IBF/RING CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Yoan Pablo Hernandez vs. Alexander Alekseev Just thought i'd start this. Unfortunately it looks like this fight will be clashing with Groves/Froch so i won't be doing the RBR myself but hopefully someone else will.
You gonna do one? :good I have Froch vs. Groves, just starting. I assume the main event in Germany is starting any moment now too?
Anyone even watching this? ha guess it's bad timing to have it on exact same time as Groves vs Froch.
RD 1 - Very close round both guys looking sharp Alekseev establishing his jab while YPH landed a few good body punches. Alekseev's defense looking better than i anticipated. 10-9 Alekseev but either way is legit.
