Ross is supposed to be a top 3 cruiser, though...

It should be, then Licina vs. Alexeev and then the main event.

    Round 7

Gutknecht backs up, skips to his left, jabs. Uzelkov keeps plodding on and stuffing his own heavy jab in Gutknecht's face. Uzelkov is probably impressing the judges with his activity, as the BN folks point out. Not much happening besides the jabs of either man, but Uzelkov is actually planting his on Gutknecht's forehead whereas the champ is just tickling Uzelkov with his while moving off to one side to navigate the corners. Quick flurry by Gutknecht spinning Uzelkov to a corner. Long limp right by Uzelkov hits gloves. Clinch. Uzelkov thrusts out some jabs from the hip while hopping forward. Gutknecht flees. Clinch. Clubbing right by Uzelkov.

    68-65 Gutknecht

    :good

It's too early to coast, Eddy!! If you want to keep your title, you need at least SIX in the bank!

    5 - 2 Gutk

Gave that right o uzel off of some hard rights he landed on gutk when they exchanged, he is heavier handed and I think the few shots he had to the body are catching up because Gutk is slowing down and starting to stand his ground and try to trade more, which I don't think works in his advantage. Uzel had the better work in the round and won it on my card.

    Round 8

Uzelkov stuffs a jab between Gutknecht's gloves and while it's pinned he loops a right hand around. Gutknecht releases the left and it immediately whips around into his face as a scything hook. Uzelkov is lobbing out hard jabs up top, leaving himself wide open to the body but unconcerned about anything Gutknecht might answer back with. Good short combos by Uzelkov now, punctuating them with hooks aimed at the bottom of the jaw as he tilts in close with all the preceding blows. Uzelkov jabs his way in and has his head pushed down. Gutknecht winds up a rabbit punch but holds off as the ref cries out to let him go. You can tell Gutknecht was tempted to let a frustration cheap shot go. :yep Clinch to bottle up an attempted Gutknecht flurry. Uzelkov again bows his head and Gutknecht does throw a rabbit punch this time.

    10-9 Uzelkov

    77-75 Gutknecht

    5 - 3 Gutk

Uzel won the round on harder shots that did land, most of Gutk's work was light hitting and caught on the gloves. Uzel landed some very night rights to the body and a nice uppercut on the inside, compared to the non-effective action from gutk.
