Hooks and crosses by Licina, aiming high. Alexeev tries to make him miss with slippery movement on a liquid neck and with short hops without ever widening or narrowing his stance. Like a flea. Licina is standing firm, watching as Alexeev circles and goes for body shots. High cuffing right hook to the side of the head by Alexeev. Licina rolls down with his guard up overhead as Alexeev keeps circling around him popping down jabs. Alexeev is just outmaneuvering and outworking Licina. Left uppercuts getting past the guard continually. 1-2 by Licina, dodged and countered by a left hand.

Round 9

Licina is flipping his right jab up backhand past the incoming left jab and catching Licina on the lip with it, following through with a left. Good work by Alexeev on the inside, taking steps back to avoid lean-ins and raising his hands when not throwing. Licina has little recourse, trying to push forward and grind into Alexeev or throw jabs as soon as Alexeev finishes his own attacks. Licina dives in with a chopping flurry and gets simply turned aside like a bull rushing a matador. Alexeev uses his forearms to shove Licina back into range and flicks the right jab, following with the solid left. Alexeev leans forward to meet Licina and digs a left uppercut to the body. Another good one.
