Ross wins the round but why isn't he jumping on Hernandez? JPH could get back into this if Ross doesn't finish him. 3-3, Ross ahead due to KD.

"You could knock this guy out, right? Stop swinging wild like that. Double jab, OK?"

    - Ross' corner, very laid back.

oh shut up about your "it's discretionary" horse**** .. the walking away staggering bit is grossly exaggerated, Spott still made it to the corner on his feet

and I don't see such a big deal about "clear the entire ring" .. he went to the corner. Tim Bradley also went to the corner after getting dropped by Holt, and that fight wasn't stopped .. the ref continued his count and checked Tim's gloves

if Spott really was staggering the whole time, than a stoppage is a logical decision.

of course the fate's in the refs hands, but what I don't like is that the ref just waved it off and didn't even ask Spott if he wanted to continue or check his gloves

the guy was up, on his feet appeared ready to continue

again you're going at great lengths to defend a questionable stoppage. If Spott got up and fell back down again .. like Judah vs Kostya okay stop the fight by all means

and please stop getting pissy about all your "EVERY BOXER knows not to turn his back" or "it's Common sense" gibberish

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX0_b_M9ulk[/ame]

1:27 Calzaghe gets dropped, what does he do ... turns his back to the ref, goes to corner to recuperate. but notice the ref finishes count asks him if he can continue

when you talk in absolutes .. it's very easy to disprove. Other boxers have walked away from the ref, to the corner and were allowed to continue

but since some refs do stop the fight, and others don't ... when fighters walk away from them why don't they make a universal rule

because at first your tone was "it's Common sense" .. why would a fighter walk away from ref during a 10 count?

then it's some refs will stop the fight .. others won't

    Round 7

Big right hook by Ross. Hernandez is staying out at distance, pawing a jab into the air. Not much happening. Ross gets in and nicks the body with a right hook ducking under a Hernandez jab. Ross isn't closing the distance, just letting Hernandez off the hook. Hernandez circles and squeezes his arms together. Ross dives in with a jab to the body. Hernandez unrolls his jab from range. 1-2 by Hernandez. Jab to the body by Hernandez, keeping Ross at bay.

    10-9 Hernandez

    67-65 Ross

5-2 Hernandez. He needs to stop stepping inside so much. Controlling range well.

Ross is just looking for the one KO shot. Big mistake. With a bit more pressure Hernandez would break.

68-64 Ross. Clearly Hernandez is on defense. With a good reason!
