Well he failed to do so once already, and was maybe lucky to escape with even a draw.

We'll see what going back to the drawing board has done for him.

I'll go a step further and say if he doesn't dominate the rematch (the way Proksa dominated Hope) he can't even be called Euro level, let alone fringe world class.

 

Yes, it's the only live bout left except for Hernandez vs. Ross directly afterward.

 

He has a nice jab. He looked OK against cans.

He was semi-exposed against Santos. Tonight he either proves that was a fluke or gets fully exposed the rest of the way.

 

Round 1

Britsch begins to jab out of his tight guard while circling clockwise on his toes. After a full revolution he switches directions and keeps sticking the jab. Santos tries to pick him out of the air with his own jab, but is throwing one to every four of Britsch's. Santos keeps turning to square up and chops with a left-right, hitting guard. Britsch sticks the jab. Santos jabs into Britsch's right mitt and gets his hair brushed by a counter jab. Britsch is moving very quickly around Santos, cutting a wide swath in ellipses around him. Nice body shots by Britsch. Short 1-2 by Britsch. Santos turns and lopes after him, then lunges with a jab. Britsch sidesteps and lands a 1-2 pressing in. Back to circling for Britsch.

Round 2

Britsch is jabbing and circling, keeping Santos spinning his wheels. Santos can't get faced up to throw anything as Britsch keeps it moving. Finally Santos goes for broke leaping in with a cluster of uppercuts to the body. A few get through but Britsch gives him a shove back into range and begins jabbing at him again. Nice 1-4-3 to the face and then body by Britsch. Lots of movement by Britsch, jabbing from long range and then darting in with quick chops to the body.
