I'm liking the chances of it... Whittaker has been on fire and seems to have really matured as a fighter. He's not just an explosive brawler, he's a high IQ fighter who's able to keep the fight where he wants and survive rough moments against elite grapplers on the mat. Romero can be hurt and isn't all that hard to hit. If Whittaker can come in with the same gameplan he did against Jacare, then this will be a winnable fight for him.

 

Whittaker is a dirty dirty fighter. I remember him using foot stomps against Uriah Hall.

 

Romero doesn't get hit much. Romero is too Cuban, too slick, too southpaw... He takes his time but if his opponents get aggressive he can knock them out quickly. I don't remember him getting hit much in the UFC other than that one time when the cheater Kennedy grabbed his glove.
