    Re-watched his 3 round demolition of Sergio Garcia last night. Amazing performance for just his 6th pro bout. Obviously there have been fighters like Loma or Beterbiev who progressed very quickly in the pro ranks - but they were a heck of a lot older than this kid.

    He seems awfully close to the finished article.

    Sadly, both YT videos of his full fight with Garcia got removed in the last 24 hours. You can still find the highlights of that fight on YT though.

    Yes, although I'm not sure Garcia is still the same guy who beat Rabchenko a few years ago. Tony Harrison had no problem giving him a boxing lesson last year and I don't think Harrison has been quite the same fighter since his father died a couple years ago.

    But Tellez certainly looks good so far. Looks like Crawford, Ennis, and Ortiz Jr will all land at 154 lbs. Add Tszyu and this kid - and 154 lbs looks like it has a real chance to become the most interesting division in the sport. As a bonus, Tellez is a PBC fighter. I say that's a "bonus" because it indicates that PBC might be acknowledging that it will have to move past Charlo at some point - and that's a prerequisite for this division to fulfill its growing promise.

    Cubans are like those random Eastern European fighters on DAZN for me. For the most part my give a **** meter is low. Morrell is a fun fighter to watch though.

    They never get the hype that the American fighters get. That's why a slow, stiff, lead footed fighter like Spence can get so much hype. It's marketing. Business. It's all about money. The media pushes whoever can bring in money.

    Yeah Spence didn’t beat the dog **** outta Brook, Mikey Garcia, Porter, etc . He didn’t deserve any of the hype. Idiot.

    I'm not a Spence hater but looking at your list...
    • GGG did half of Spence's job for him w/ Brook. Cuz GGG wrecked Brook at 160 and that was the end of Kell's prime.
    • Mikey had no business at 147 lbs. He wanted a big payday and didn't care if he sacrificed what was left of his prime in doing that. This was a joke of a fight and Spence was happy to play along.
    • Shawn Porter was - at his best - an almost-but-not-quite fighter. Brook and Thurman both beat him in their primes. And I'm not 100% sure Porter was still in his prime when Spence won a SD against him.

    On their last legs? Tf you talking about. ****ing moron. Porter was on his last legs years later when he fought Crawford not Spence. Brook was in or close to his prime and a beast at 147.

    Brook's face was literally broken. Brook was ruined by a much larger man. Weight classes exist for a reason. Porter was an old 34 who hadn't done **** in years.

    And let's not lose sight of the fact that prime Kell Brook dominated prime Shawn Porter.

    Brook did the same thing Mikey Garcia did - grabbed a huge payday at the expense of his prime.

    GGG absolutely took Brook's prime. Even so Brook kept things very interesting with Spence for about 7 rounds.

    It bears repeating: Prime Brook dominated prime Shawn Porter.
