Anyone here practice yoga in addition to their boxing? I started doing it a year ago and it's really worked wonders for me. I find it's really helped me with my flexibility, posture, abs, and especially breathing. Anyone else have a comparable experience?

Never tried it, always wanted to though..
Just would feel really awkward going to a class somehow

While it isn't exactly the manliest, the class is usually full of chics wearing skimpy ****, so that helps for sure.

Can you go into more detail about the benefits it's had? How does it improve your breathing in boxing/any exercise? I mean, if you're breathing hard, you're breathing hard, I don't understand how you can breath hard better? :huh

Yoga is all about long, deep breaths, and you focus a lot on your breathing while you're holding poses. You take in a really deep breath, hold it for a second, and then release it all. I guess I feel like I take in more air without having to breathe as hard. It was kinda tough to get the hang of at first, and now it's second nature. It's a different kind of breathing, and it's all through the nose, so that helps too.
