Yoko in a much harder than expected fight.

Yoko was amazing at mid range, being a sniper and cumulative combo puncher. However, Baby Jake would not be fighting at this range. He is skilled enough to force the issue, and has the monstrous work rate and stamina to keep going, but he would't be good enough to consistently derail the talent and seamless textbook work of Yoko.

ok you got me! Outside of name recognition I know nothing about Matlala with the exception of the Carbajal and McAuley fights and my memory is not clear...what makes you pick him out of curiosity? What are your thoughts on the fight? What makes you this sound like a good hypothetical for you?

I have watched a ton of Yoko this year, and I am picking him but admit that it is a largely ill informed opinion at this stage.

I pick the Fierce Eagle to win this too but I see Matlata giving him problems he was an excellent fighter and at just 4'9 even more impressive. You have seen his biggest fights but I'd suggest watching his second fight with Paul Weir.
